would someone please tell me what would make my cakes come out looking like this? is it the stove? too many eggs? is it alive????

Looks like maybe improper mixing. It would help to know what recipe you are using.

sorry
i used the white almond sour cream but instead of white cake mix i used yellow and instead of 8 large egg whites i used 6 large eggs. everything else remained the same.

is the picture too dark or there's no picture at all? i can see it when i pull it up so i really don't understand what going on.

From what I can see it looks like a 'sad streak'. I think it is caused by sugar not mixed in enough, kind of like marbling.

From what I can tell, it looks like maybe it wasn't mixed well enough. I had almost the exact thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. But i definitely know it was because I didn't mix it well enough!

Are you mixing for batter for 2 minutes on low? Good luck!!

i thought i did but that was at 5am this morning before i went to work. i'll try again in the morning and see if it comes out better. so, was i correct to use 6 whole eggs?
