Ive got to do a fairy cake, and it needs to be girlr and pretty but im not sure what colours to use, I was thinking of something along the lines of a fairy on a toad stool,
I know that it s been done but its either that or a log or flower, what else is there. so I was wondering if anyone has got some good ideas for making it look pretty and what colours to us. please help
Debbie Brown has a cake in one of her books (sorry I can't remember which one) that the actual cake is a mushroom style house with three fairies "flying" around it. I though it was pretty cute. I see blue-green, pink, and yellow as good fairy colors. I hope this helps and please post a picture when you are done.
I recently did a fairy/mushroom cake ... it's in my gallery if you want to take a look. Any questions, just ask ...
thanks for all your helpful ideas, i dont want to sound stupid but how do I see the fairy cake by RisqueBusiness. I cant see it
I'm sorry! Go to the cake decorating forum and under the "memberlist" type in risquebusiness. Her profile will come up and you can look through her pics. She has an amazing fairy theme cake! I believe you can do a search for Fairy cakes but I'm still new to CC and are not sure how to do that. HTH
just to let you know that the my fairy cake is nearly done but my fairy is you can see it in the gumpaste section of the gallery. Just letting the wings dry.
WOW! Your fairies are amazing. I can't believe you were worried. Would you mind explaining how you made your fairies. Especially, how you got the head to stay on that tiny neck. I hope to be able to create something, even half as good as that some day.
I have a cake that I did with tinkerbell in my photos, I used that spray color and kind of blended the colors...it turned out ok. Look in my photos maybe that will give you an idea
Yes Libs, your fairies look amazing! Well done. I love them!

What mold did you used?
Loved them, great job
Lilac, powder pink, lime green and kind of a cornflower blue. Those are the colors I think of immediately.

I laugh to stop the tears. But goodnews all those that wanted me to do a tutorial it wont be to long because now I have to do another one
Oh, I'm so sorry. She was so pretty. That is so frustrating when you put so much work into something and it breaks. I'm sure your next one will be just as beautiful.
