Hi All,
I just had to post this! My very loving older brother decided that since I always make cakes for the family that it would be nice to have a cake made for me! Well, he decided to surprise me with a cake for my birthday! He has never made a decorated cake before, never worked with fondant, etc. He discovered what it is like for all of us who work so hard and stay up until all hours making cakes and has a whole new appreciation for us! He made his own MMF and the cake was chocolate with chocolate bc under the fondant. So yummy and, as you can see for yourself, way beyond looking amateur! He did so good and I am so proud of him! It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for my birthday! I wanted to share his beautiful creation with all of my CC friends and to get your thoughts and comments to share with him!

What a sweet and thoughtful guy. You can tell he really put his heart into it. I have made many of cakes but have stayed in my buttercream comfort zone. For him to break out the homemade MMF on his first try - GOD LOVE HIM!! Is he married? my sisters are both single and could use a thoughtful guy like that! ha!!

Thank you all for the sweet compliments! I let him know that everyone thinks his cake was just wonderful and he is very pleased!
UGoCakes, sorry, he's married! My SIL actually baked the cake and made the chocolate bc for under the fondant! It was a team effort until he got to decorating. After 11:00PM rolled around, she headed to bed!
