Oh my gosh! Sorry for your bad day, on a side note here, I think I'd probably invest in a new leaf tip...sorry, can't help but chuckle!
Too bad about your car trouble, at least you didn't mention any one getting hurt, thank goodness!
Sounds like it's going to be one of those days no matter what you try! Cheer up, something good will come of it all...you just never know!

If I were in your shoes I'd probably light up and say to heck with the cake!

I'm so sorry, this sounds like my evening last night! Whatever could go wrong, DID. Thinking outside the box on this one...you might could usea rose tip or perhaps a petal tip(like #79 if you have one), it won't quite be the same shape, but...it's better than nothing. Would hold the rose tip at a vertical angle and pull the leaves out. Also, if there's not a lot of leaves you could always outline a rough leaf shape and fill in, think FBCT's on a smaller scale. Good luck, I know you will find a solution!

You could always give the dog some laxatives and wait for your tip. icon_eek.gif

just kidding.

I'm sorry to hear about your day. When it rains it pours, huh?

Sorry about your bad day...and I am so glad your dog is going to be ok. It can be scary when they swallow stuff. I went on a field trip to our vet with my son's class. The vet said that certain objects could really hurt or kill an animal if swallowed. Anyway...I hope that the rest of your weekend will be better. icon_smile.gif

Let me say...CONGRATS on the no smoking!!!!!!

I haven't had a cigarette since January. Its took me two years to quit, and you never know the meaning of cranky until you quit-I'm surprised my children lived through it. Sooo, hang in there, it does get easier, and now they just stink.

Index card. roll it into a cone, tape it. Cut the tip shape out. Drop it into a disposable bag without a coupler. Instant leaves.
Ohhh...and if you find little brown leaves on the floor...chances are...it aint frosting.

Sorry about your bad day. Just remember though that if you can get through this without a cigarette you can get through just about anything!
Hang in there.

Good idea Dale! You can also make one like that by just using a parchment cone and cutting the leaf tip shape into it, not quite as good as a metal tip, but it does work. Also, I love the 352 tip since learning about it here.

Last week my grandson's dog got a prescription capsule off the table before my grandson could take it, and ate it before they could get it away from him, and he went berserk. The vet told them that Ozzie's temp went to 106, and if they hadn't gotten him there immediately he would have died.
The vet had to call poison control to find something to stop the reaction...now the good news. The dog is fine, still trying to eat everything he finds!

Glad to know that your doggie is okay, and nobody was hurt in the accident! Janice

Dale, love your sense of humor!! Doggy decorater!!!
Charleydog, I should have been more supportive with the no smoking...sorry. My dad quit, it'll be 1 year on Dec. 7th...Yeah for him! But oh boy, was he a total B#$%@ to say the least and I'm surprised mom stayed there. Mom is now trying to quit...we (siblings) took bets to see who was going to kill whom first!

Charleydog, no one deserves to have that bad of a day. Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. I quit for 13 months and then my mom died and I started again. Have been trying to quit for 3 years. The real kicker is that I have COPD and am on oxygen full time. I just take it off and smoke. I get so mad at myself. Have been on an horendous amount of steroids in the past 3 1/2 years so I have gained 90 lbs. Trying to lose weight and quit smoking at the same time is a real @#$%^/. To make matters worse my daughter teaches smoking cessation classes for United Way and she preaches at me constantly. Hope the dog is okay and at least I learned a trick about making a makeshift tip. I can hardly wait to tell my daughter what all happened to you. When one of her animals gets hurt she goes beserk. Our vet is a real good friend and he just dreads a call from her. Says he can never understand what she is saying and never knows how serious it is until she gets the dog or cat there. He has had some good laughs at her expense. Better luck the rest of the weekend!!!

Sorry, about your trouble. Sounds like you handled it better than I would. By the way, I had a dog that ate a lightbulb, crunched it up like candy. Hope tomorrow goes better. Hang in there.

Thanks for the support.... I know now it seems funny but I thought I was gonna snap earlier...LionladyDi, your daughter should know that you will only successfully quit when you are ready, I have tried a million times and I was nevver successful...we shall see..isn't it amazing how our pets become like children...people without them will never understand

Thanks guys!!

I gave up on pets. My poodles became such a big part of my life--I never spoiled my children like I did them! When my boyfriend of 20 years left me, my lastr poodle quit eating. She grieved herself to death. I swore then, no more pets. She developed bleeding ulcers. That's when my vet and I became such good friends. I was a basket case--crying over him one minute and her the next. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I couldn't figure out which I missed the most, her or him. Didn't take long to realize she was a much more faithful companion. He had been seeing someone else for over a year and is now married to her. icon_mad.gif I still wish for her to be waiting for me by the door and I hope I never see him again. LOL As for my smoking......it is much harder to quit than any nonsmoker could realize. Sometimes when someone starts preaching at me I want to point out their bad habits. icon_twisted.gif The cost of cigarettes should make us all think twice. I know that has slowed me down considerably!!! Before I got sick I was smoking 2-3 packs a day. Now I smoke 2-3 packs a week. I'll go a few days without one and then the urge just hits me. I'm sure you know what I mean!!!!! I wish us both luck!!! thumbs_up.gif

Rainbowz, you are so clever. My dad used to say the same thing about drinking. Only problem was that drinking finally killed him. I figure the same thing will happen to me only it will be cigarettes. I used to drink alot but sold my bar and that sorta put an end to that!!! Still have an occasional drink but it tastes so much better with a cigarette. When I get tiffed while doing a cake, the first thing I want to do is stop and smoke one. I always have an excuse to have one. I used to reward myself for getting a job done with a cigarette. I'd vaccuum, smoke, dust, smoke, dishes, smoke, laundry, smoke. Had to quit that so I quit being so particular about how clean my house was. LOL
