How long can marshmallow fondant be stored? If it can be? And what is the best way to store it? I need to make a few things ahead of time but then want to save the rest for later, if possible.

MMF can be successfully stored for weeks. There is really nothing in there that will spoil. I keep mine in the fridge (just out of habit), wrapped in saran and then put into a zipper type bag but others just keep it at room temp.

I have kept my MMF in a kitchen cabinet, refrigerator, or in a tupperware bowl. I have even froze it. I always wrap it in saran wrap first, then in tinfoil, then a ziploc bag. It stores very well. I had MMF in the kitchen cabinet for 4 wks before! It tasted great when I finally used it~

I rub just a little bit of Crisco on mine, wrap it in saran, then foil, then into a ziplock bag ... it stores like this really well as long as it doesn't get real hot where you're keeping it ... I've had some about 6 weeks old and it tastes exactly like the day I made it ...
