FRENCH CREAM FROSTING MADE WITH SPLENDA

This is a great frosting for Diabetics. It can be used for icing cakes and decorating.

FRENCH CREAM FROSTING MADE WITH SPLENDA

Ingredients

  • 5 Tbls Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 Cup Butter
  • 34 Cup Crisco
  • 1 1/4 Cup Splenda

Instructions

  1. Combine –
  2. Flour, Milk and Vanilla
  3. Cook until thick and smooth
  4. Cool in Fridge
  5. When cool put in mixing bowl and add -
  6. Butter, Crisco, and Splenda
  7. Beat until double in bulk or fluffy-
  8. Refridgerater to stiffen to decorate with

This is not sugar free because of splenda....there is sugar in milk and the carbs will elevate blood glucose as well.

Thank you for this recipe. It is always nice to find a new Splenda recipe I can use. I have diabetes and I avoid the use of sucrose in my recipes. I appreciate your sharing it.

Madge, This recipe is still considered sugar-free as is any product without added sugar. There is a big difference between sugar-free and carb-free. Bookwithmenb never stated that this was carb-free. There isn't a frosting recipe on the planet that has 0 carbs. If you know of one, please share it.
