Dreamy Cream

This is a fluffier version of buttercream.

Dreamy Cream


  • 2 T Dream Whip powder
  • 1/2 C Hot Water + 1-2 t.
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1.5 C shortening (9 ounces weighed)
  • 2 t. Vanilla
  • 1T flour
  • 2 lb conf. sugar


  1. Mix the first 3 ingredients, set aside to dissolve.
  2. Cream the Crisco and vanilla. Add in the dream whip mixture and mix until smooth. Slowly add in the flour and sugar. When incorporated, mix an additional 1-2 minutes at medium-low speed.
  3. Makes all decorations well, except roses. Thin down by 1-2t per cup to frost the cake.
