I made this for a good friend of mine. The decorations are gumpaste. I layered the open rose with the cherry blossom and modified the brushed embroidery technique to add texture to the petals. I collect antique buttons and made molds of some for the centers of the flowers and for the "medallions" randomly placed on the cake. The cake itself is what I call "Banana Fanana." It is a sour cream banana cake with a surprise cookie center, cream cheese buttercream and homemade white chocolate fondant.. Thanks for looking!
