This was for the end of season party for a girl's soccer team. Sheet cake is devil's food; soccer ball is yellow, baked in a pyrex bowl. Icing is buttercream, and the logo is my first FBCT. I'm not crazy about it, but my friend loved it and I learned a lot!
This is a cake I made for my friend. The bow is made out of fondant. The roses are made out of sugar paste.
First attempt at free hand drawing (jerseys). Failed. Something I need to work on. Good thing I was just goofing around with these and they weren't for anything special. lol.
Definately not a good end result. I have since learned how to stack and smooth a cake properly. Live and learn!
This was one of my first, if not the first character cake I made. I could have used smaller eyes, but I was out of them and was pressed for time.
This was option 3 of the birthday desserts. I love the cupcake stand, it makes for great visuals and pictures.
This was option 2 of the birthday desserts. I didn't follow directions when it came to the fondant rainbow. I didn't use the pattern book. Next time, I will definately follow instructions.
I was very pleased with this carebear!!!! It was part of 3 different options at our little girl's 6th birthday party.
Couple of mistakes on this one. Overall, I was happy; and kids never notice mistakes when it comes to cake and icecream. :)
This was one of my first orders! I wasn't brave enough to do the fondant on the round cake but the bubbles and soap are fondant. I have much learning to do, but I was pretty pleased with the outcome
one of my first cakes
