Grooms House

this is one of the hardest cakes I have done. I had to make the grooms house that he is not finished construction on, but I had to finish it. I don' t know why I was so nervous doing this one, but total hrs. including making the couple was 17 hrs. How crazy is that? Done by carving an 8 in. sq. on a 16 in. rd. Maybe I will make the house bigger next time so it won't be so hard doing all the detail work:) I will post the other 3 pics.

Man alive! I just finished a 3-d lightning mcqueen and I know that there isn't a comment I can write to congratulate you enough. The time was extensive but now look what you have! It's FANTASTIC!

Guys, I can't say enough about all of your wonderful responses, thank you so much; buffim, I saw Ace of Cakes do it and thought it was a great idea, just press the impression mat into the fondant, cut it to size of each side of the house and then I just mixed a little gel color, red and brown, and with a papertowel rubbed the side of the house, a sponge would work even better.

Wow great job! I think at 4am I would have been done with the cake too! May I ask how you did the bricks? They look great, especially on the chimney!
