This looks just like a cake in a book that I have. And this cake is the reason that I bought the book. You did a fantastic job. I hope mine tunrns out as well as your when I am brave enough to attempt it. :D

thanks for all your great comments! :D I loved making this cake. it was more of a show piece than anything, and I would probably never make one this big again. I can't remember the exact measurments, but I used a sandwhich plate to cut out the circles. I think it was maybe 10 inch tall. hehehe
