This is Hogwarts for my 2 boys' Harry Potter Bday party! I HATED this cake!!!! But everyone else loved it. I still have people who talk about this cake. The party was awesome, though! I was just very very disappointed in this cake. Ugh!! I used the Harry Potter cake color set and the colors really just didn't turn out as I wanted.
That looks like a lot of cake AND a lot of work. Nice job!

oh my god, ...this looks awesome...do you have any more shots of the cake from different angles? why do you hate it ? this looks HUGE!!
It WAS huge! The cake board itslef was a heavy piece of plywood covered in paper.
OOps. I accidentally clicked OK before I finished- The board was about 36" x 24". The cake was very heavy! There were something like 30 kids & 20 adlults at the party and we still had to throw away cake a few days later! The only things not edible were the flags atop each spire and the candles. Everything else is cake! The reason I hated the cake was because the colors did NOT turn out as I expected and it was such a hot day (despite being winter) so the icing began to droop early on. But the kids love...
