Baby Shower 1
I don't like to post more then one photo of a cake but I had to show the ruffling on the sides. I designed this one with a little inspiration from some great wrap cakes on this site. I thoroughly enjoyed making this one! Scratch coconut cake with pineapple filling. Gumpaste bow and flowers. Please let me know through PM if you think there is a way I could have improved on the execution or design of this cake....aside from there being no ribbon around the drum. THANKS!

This is a very unusual design. Was it hard to get the sides to lay that way? You did a great job on the bow!!

nanahaley it wasn't hard at all. I first covered the whole cake in fondant. Then I just cut strips (circumfrence of the 10" cake) that were about 3 to 4" wide. I wrapped them around the cake to where you can't see eth seams and then one last overlay of fondant over the top.
