Red And White Wedding Cake

Never again will I do red! (well, maybe but not for a while). I started with chocolate buttercream, added 1 full bottle of red food coloring, 1 packet of Kool-Aid, and 2 1/2 containers of Wilton No Taste Red. Then of course I had to add more powdered sugar to regain the consistancy. All in buttercream. Smoothing was a nightmare because as soon as I started, the flood gates opened and the humidity was horrible! I thought the cake was going to melt! I guess it came out alright.

Looks great. I've never thought of starting with chocolate buttercream!!! I'll have to remember that!!!
