This cake was covered with fondant. The flower cascade is all made out of gumpaste. The cake topper was silk flowers. Didn't know that was a boo boo in cake decorating til later :(

I don't see anything wrong with the silk flowers. They look nice and match the color of your gumpaste flowers very well. It is also something the bride can keep if she wants.
