it doesnt look like its edible!!! wow, its beautiful. how did you do the metalic look. i think it looks more like a gold lame'fabric. cleaver! i love it!
Ok. The cakes are 14, 12, 10, and 8 inch cakes. The lace was made with a lace mold and applied with dots of buttercream. They are made of fondant. The flowers are gumpaste and painted with petal dust. The loops are fondant also cut to desired length and applied then let dry. The crown is made from another mold. After it is made I drape across a glass and just allow it too dry at least 2 days. After every thing is iced, the border on and the crown in place, I airbrushed the whole thing with pearl.
It takes several coats of it and it cannot be to thick. Always shake the bottle really well each time you refill the airbrush. And I hold it pretty close to the cake. Hope this helps and keep trying. That is the only way I learned.

How did you get the lacey design on the side? Is it a template?
It is called a lace press you can get at cake deco stores. You roll out fondant, press it in the mold, trim it and put it on the cake.
WOW!
How BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you all for your nice words
Amazing once again.
