This wedding cake was made for someone who was from Indonesia. She wanted to incorporate the gumpaste Red Orchids as a surprise to her mother because they were her mother's favorite flower and her mother had not been able to be here in much of the preplanning for her wedding. We used the cathedral borders because the bride's veil in Indonesia is so ornate that we wanted to put the detail on her cake.
