Practice cake done in preparation for wedding order that I am doing for next month. Sugar roses & leaves are made of florist paste, with pink petal dust brushed on rose edges only to pick up the colour of the pink ribbon.
Thank you all for your lovely comments. I am finding it easier to do practice cakes before doing the real thing, it is an excellent way of making sure you make no slip ups when you do the real thing, I do it for wedding cake orders. It is also a good way to show the customer how their cake will look for the day. Nefgaby these are dummies, but techniques used to get corners like this will be used to do the real thing. Practice does make perfect! Roses are becoming a strong area for me to do.
