Birthday cake for my husband. Minion on top is a toy. Chocolate fudge cake with dark chocolate buttercream filling. More dark chocolate buttercream on the outside of the cake, then topped with yellow vanilla buttercream. Cake overall is not as nice as I would have liked. I wanted to put enough bananas so that you couldn't see the yellow frosting underneath as clearly. I used modeling chocolate since it'll stick to itself, but I had problems doing just that when I tried applying a second layer of bananas (and I ran out of bananas too. Didn't figure out a quicker way to make them until late in the game. They're super small - maybe 3-4 can fit on a dime). Steamed the cake to make them sticky, but then some bananas started getting melty. Finally just punted. Learned a lot nonetheless, it tasted great, and my husband was pleased.
