15 mini-cakes for a friend's birthday. Two of his favorite things are coffee and Steampunk, so I combined the two.

The "coffee" is Devil's Food cake with chocolate buttercream. Cup is made from fondant; handle is gumpaste with fondant accents; rivets are royal icing. All are brushed with luster dust to give them a metallic look. "Steam" and gauges are fondant as well. Gauges are decorated with diluted food coloring and edible markers. The front of the cup shows the coffee temperature, and the back shows coffee strength. :)
