This was for a first communion. They are from Guatemala, and the mom wanted COLOR in the cake. when she told me her colors were lime green and hot pink and lime green, i knew it would be challenging to come up with a design to incorporate the colors and still be tasteful for a first communion. This is what i came up with . I actually really liked the color scheme. Unfortuantely i squeezed this cake in just a few days before the communion and because i was already overbooked i really had to rush it. I am looking at my buttercream and cringing. I told her it would be worked in as a favor to her and it would be the best i could do on short notice. I probably shouldn't have done it, but she's a good friend. I am disappointed in the quality of it, but she loved it. i guess that is what counts. BC with gumpast flowers, MMF border.
