I had the privilege of making this cake for a wonderful lady who taught my son in kindergarten and 3rd grade. She has taught at our Christian school for the last 13 years and rewarded good behavior with stuffed animals (buddies) to sit on their desk and M&Ms. So, I tired to make a cake to look like her desk: buddies in a basket, a Bible that shows her love of children, a pencil holder (similar to one on her desk), a tissue box, a name plate (she always made these for her students) and a vase of flowers because she really is a favorite and will be missed. Thanks to Jennifer Dontz for the information on the sugar vase which I used for the vase and pencil holders. This was so much fun to make and brought back so many wonderful memories.
