I want to apologize for the bad quality of these pictures. I have gotten a new camera since then. Anyways, this leg lamp is for my dad's suprise 60th b-day party. The leg is made from RKT wrapped around a 32" tall, 1" wide wooden dowel. I put a few coats of royal icing on the leg with a paint brush, then covered with flesh colored fondant. I had to buy this thing a fishnet stocking! The cake itself is the lamp shade that's on a 14" removable top. It's covered in fondant and the black fringe is glued to the cake plate. This cake had a 2 hour car ride. It was pretty funny looking in the rear view mirror and seeing a big leg seat belted in the back seat!! When we got to my parents, I put the final touches on the base - by the shoe. I put a layer of golden yellow fondant (same color as lamp shade) covering the base and a black ribbon around the base edge. All together, this cake was 4 feet tall and weighed 32 pounds!!! I will post better pictures when I get them from my sis.
