I made this just over a year ago, for my daughter's 6th birthday. It was my first attempt at a fancy / theme cake. I've not had any training, so it was a real struggle, as I couldn't get the right consistency with the icing and it kept melting on me while I was trying to do the piping. Plus, the I used a chocolate mousse filling, and it kept seeping out and mixing in with the pink and white icing - not a pretty sight! Somehow I managed to get it covered up and presentable on the day, and it ended up being a huge hit with everyone!
