I made this for a good friend who happens to love grits. I was inspired by a coffee mug I have with G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised In The South). It is a 3 layer 6 in. round vanilla cake covered in vanilla buttercream. I then covered it with fondant on the sides and painted with moonstone luster dust. I piped tiny dots to cover the top and resemble grits. I used flaky sprinkles for more effect and some poppy seeds for "pepper". The "butter" is fondant. The handle is a plastic dowel covered in fondant & painted to match the pot. This was fun & quick to make!
