Scarecrow Cake

Just a plain yellow cake w/ BC icing. This is for our church's Harvest Festival.

I left it sitting out, and the BC (all shortening) got really hard! You can see where the stripes on the pumpkin broke. I normally use half shortening, half butter, but I was on a budget, and this is for kids and they dont care! :)

Looks great to me! When I am on a budget, I use margarine and Crisco instead of the butter. Just an idea!

Cake looks great! :-) What pan did you use to make this? or did you sculpt it?

I used the Wilton Scarecrow pan. I havent attempted a sculpted cake yet, but maybe in the near future... who knows :D Thanks all!!
