This is for a Sweet 16 B-day. The girl that wanted this cake knew exactly what she wanted, down to every detail. All the colors, flower choice and jewels....all her idea. This is what I came up with. The cake is vanilla cake with a chocolate buttercream filling. It's covered in marshmallow fondant and the bow and flower is made out of gum paste. I stenciled on each of the paisleys with royal icing.....2 on each side of the cake. The blank spot next to the hibiscus is where a Happy Birthday placque will go.
