this is my daughter and her two best friend's graduation cake. it took me for...ever to complete! this is my first attempt at calla lillies, edible butterflies, cap and tassel, and fondant swags!! the cap is made from rice krispy treats covered in fondant, mortar board is cardboard covered in fondant. swags and scroll are fondant. the flowers are gumpaste dusted with petal dust. edible butterflies represent each graduate based on their favorite colors , my daughter's is pink!!! the cake looks like it's leaning, but it's not...it's because of what it's sitting on. i wish i could have taken a better picture...but the graduation is in a few hours...so i really had to rush!!! thanks for looking!!!
