I made this cake for my FIL's birthday. He is from Scotland and collects the annual publications of this Scottish comic character, Oor Wullie. This is a raisin spice cake with an Irish Cream buttercream. Oor Wullie is a fondant plaque and the lettering is also fondant. I covered the cake board in actual Oor Wullie comic strips - black and white from the 1930s and colour ones from today. I plan to call this my Murphy's Law cake - so much went wrong with it that I think I have lost years off my life! Thanks for looking!
