My mom wanted a wedding cake for her birthday since she and her husband never had one... She designed it - a heart shape on top of a round. She wanted the pink and white theme - although I wished she would have made the beads all one color since I thought it looked a little funny with pearl and pink on the same cake. She also wanted a wine glass in the middle so she and her hubby could do the toast out of the cake. She likes to be different. :)This photo is when the cake is unfinished - it had purple iris around the glass and down one side - but I lost those photos :( you can see, though, that the fondant has sagged on the bottom cake. A problem that I constantly have. Is this because I have not dowelled the cake properly and it is too heavy? Also, my first attempt at a drape - it was a little stiff; I think I rolled it too thick, but it looked nice at the end with the flowers on it.
