Garden Theme Cake
made this as a last minute cake for a friends' mom's birthday...got notified on Monday..needed it done on Friday. Chocolate cake, mint mocha buttercream filling, covered in fondant. Flower pots, seed packets, daisies, watering can are gumpaste. Basket is royal icing. "Dirt" is cake crumbs left over from leveling the cake.. LOL!!!

Amazing cake - so much creativity and detail. How do you paint the "wood" on the fondant?
Thank you so much everyone!! I wasn't expecting so much response!! :D PattyT, I painted the wood on the fondant by using a 1" chip brush (the narrow side) and used brown food coloring with extract...the wood grain just "happens" LOL
