Bear was white cake w/ extender baked in Wilton's Cuddly Bear pan. He is decorated with buttercream icing and a 50/50 gumpaste fondant bow which was "glued" together with white chocolate. Bows are chocolate cake covered in BC icing. Bows are same as bear bow. (Critique Subgroup Member ~ all critiques welcome)

Ok I'll critique * whispering* but it is sooooo cute!! :) Love the bear.....I guess I would of made the ties on the bears bow a little longer to hide the white chocolate "glue" . The little packages are very cute but I think they need a border...but over all I love this one!! :)

Thanks for the critique wgoat5. Silly me popped the bow and ribbon apart when I was adjusting it. By then it was too late to fix it because the fondant was hard  . As far as a border on the packages, why didn't I think of that? I was fussing at myself for not being able to get the b/c all the way even with the board and yet a border would have fixed it. Lesson learned. Thank you!!!!!

critique subgroup member: That little bear just makes me smile. I want to hug him...he looks so soft and cuddly. The presents are adorable. Two small critiques: 1. I can see the white chocolate "glue" on the bear's bow and the bottoms of the presents are a little uneven. Other than that, it is perfect! GREAT cake.

critique group member: Just adorable!! my only critique; a different cakeboard and that's me being picky!! This is so cute!!

critique subgroup member: you stated the obvious little flaw with the exposure of where the bow comes together, so I just have nothing but praise for your adorable bear. He is too cute!! Your bows look awesome on the presents and your colors are great together. I would have done something to the bottom of the presents to give them cleaner edges, but it's a really wonderful presentation

Critique Subgroup Member: Golly your bear is cute. Never had enough guts to try making the standup bears.....I love how you matched the bow color and packages and gave each package a different personality. I agree with the others assessments and want to add one more of my own. The packaged bows are a bit thick. I probably would invest in a hand crank pasta machine. You want to almost be able to read through the fondant to give it a fabric look. That is the cutiest bear I have seen! He looks soft & fluffy!

critique group member the bear is adorable. My only suggestions are to make the bottom of the presents more even or add a border like a thin strip of fondant to cover it and also I can see some glue on the bow. I like the size of your board but not sure about the silver. Maybe a white or light blue covered board would have been nice. Great cake and design overall.

Critique group member: Oh how cute! I love the bear! My only critique would be that the packages definately need a border because the bottom looks a little sloppy.

Critique group member:oh I want to hug that bear he is so cute! Your colors are wonderful and the bow around the bear is wonderful, only thing is that tiny bit of white chocolate that you can see. The packages look great, but something to cover the uneven part at the bottom would have helped. I have to save this to my favorites because it is so cute

i love him! he's just too cute! i love how his little hand is touching his face. only a few things: the chocolate glue on the bow, the edges of the packages and it looks like the frosting on the blue package is a little see-thru on the top left corner (?) i love how he looks fuzzy! great job!!!
