Thanks to a fellow CC member for the design idea! All buttercream, and cut, stacked, and carved from a 9x13 cake. Fondant bones, facial features, paws, and chew toy. This was a lot of fun!!
I cut the 9x13 cake into three sections width wise. I stacked 2 of the sections, and then just cut 4 rectangles out from the 3rd section for the paws, and used the rest to make a head shape to lay on the cake board. I carved the legs a little, and shaped the body as I went along. The tail is fondant covered in buttercream. Hope this helps a little, I just really experimented as I went along until I was happy with the result!
That is the cutest thing! I'm not sure I could eat that! Great job.
Do you have the directions on how you carved and stacked it? I need to do a dog cake for a 4 year old in the next few weeks.

This is absolutely darling!
You did a great job-she's so cute! I may be borrowing the design as well. My mom is a huge dog lover!
