Party Dress Cake
This is a cake I created for three little girls who shared a birthday...The inspiration for the decoraations came from the invitation provided by mom. The cake is decorated with chocolate polka dot party dresses and party hats....Colors are pink and lavender. Top cake is chocolate and the bottom cake is vanilla so that everybody would be happy!
This is so sweet! The dresses are adorable and I love the colors together!
Thanks Tweedie!

:D Soooo cute! I love the theme! You did a great job!
Thanks a bunch! Well, I guess they're chocolate transfers in that I created them in chocolate and then "glued' them to the cake with a dot of buttercream. To create the designs, I took the invitation and traced the dresses and hats that
Oop...I'm new to this and hit "ok" by mistake! I traced the designs from the invitation onto parchment. Then I enlarged them using a copier machine. I then placed a piece of acetate over the parchment and piped the designs using tinted white chocolate. Once I created the designs, I placed them into the fridge for 5 minutes to set up. Remove from fridge and, voila! Nice shiny chocolate decorations for your cake! I use this method a lot for my cakes. You can basically create anything in chocolate!
Adorable! I bet the girls just loved it. You did a great job :)
Thanks punkinpie...! The girls were all turning three and the party took place at the local Children's Museum....I heard the cake was enjoyed by all which of course is music to a cake decorator's ears!
Soooooo cute. I love it.
