Cookie Monster 1St Birthday Cake
This was my first 'real' decorated cake! Was made for my great niece's first birthday. The cake is homemade chocolate, topped with a white chocolate ganache' and decorated with buttercream. The cake was made last February.
what recipe did you use for buttercream?
1/2 pound unsalted sweet cream butter, 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 3/4 cups heavy cream. Combine butter and sugar in a food processer until it just starts to come together, slowly add cream. Continue to process for a few minutes. Transfer to a stand mixer and mix on medium speed until lite and creamy. This usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. This recipe is wonderful, very tasty and so easy to work with! Enjoy : ) .
