This is a very creative idea with the background cakes. Question - is your bottom round just one layer and the back just one layer cut in 1/2? I'm trying to decide how many cakes I would need to bake and cut to get the same effect. Thanks.

Thanks, I made two different size cakes with three layers. Then I had cut small cake into half and stacked on each other. I hope it will helps. Because of three layers you can give your cake nice tall background.
