It is all colorflow - I got the design from the 2001 Wilton book. It was a lot of fun to make even though I was soo worried about breaking the pieces. I have a spare set that I could do an extra cake with... LOL

shebaben: I thought about doing the window and curtains in fondant because I was a little hesitant about colorflow... but you know what, it was OK to do. You just have to make sure that you make doubles in case one breaks.
this is stunning!!!! wow... I've always toyed with the idea of a christmas cake with a window theme and now your beautiful cake has got me all fired up to try and ceate one, I will be pleased if it turns out half as good as yours, its gone straight in my favourites
graduatern: I made this one free of charge for my niece's baptism. However, I was told by a few CC members that a cake like this one would sell for $75 to $100. It is an 11x15 sheet.
Wow............. 8O I am amazed with this cake.I wanted to ask you where can i find a template for the angels?I need to make a sweet 16 cake and the theme is Angels. Thanks in advance. This is added to my favorites album. ;-D

This is such a cute cake. I think I will do something similar for my daughter and sil when they move into their new house. It will make a cute house warming cake too I think

Color Flow is a technique to make cake decorations using a special mix that hardens. It is much like royal icing. You outline your design and then you "flood" with thinned color flow.
8O is the baby made with color flow also?..the window seems to be flotating, not in direct contact with the cake, how did you do that or is the angle in which the picture was taken???
I've never seen anything like this before. It's a stunner! How on earth did you make the panes for the wondows!?! What did you use as a pattern for the angels? They're precious. I am super impressed here. Don't know how I missed this one for so long. It's wonderful!!!!!!!
This is such a work of art! Looks like it should be hanging on the wall! SOOOO sweet!!!!
