Petal Cake Experiment--Pink With Purple Accents
This is my first attempt at icing a petal cake. It's not as easy to ice the sides as I thought it would be...anyway, this cake was a big experiment. I tried out my #95 on the bottom border and really like the frilled top/ribbed bottom effect that it had. I used my #74 leaf tip for the lines and rosettes. Also, I tried using a #63 for the center flower's petals with a #347 for the stamen. My icing had air bubbles, so try to ignore that---I figured it didn't matter since it was a practice cake.
Very pretty cake! I think your icing looks very smooth! I love the rosettes! Great job!
