R2D2
I made this cake last night. I was up til 2:00 am. I had to transport it to work this morning (1 hour drive).Once I got here, the cake had fell over. I had to slightly slam on my brakes during traffice to avoid hitting the car infront of me, and that is when I lost him. I was devastated!! I made him with 4 8 inch cakes and used a bowl for his head. His arms are made of rice crispy treats. I made sure and supported him well, but it still didn't make it. : (
The good news is that the party is not til Saturday so I have time to make another one. This time, I am going to take it in sections and put it together at her house. I am not risking losing him twice. :D
I'm SOOOOOO sorry. Good luck with the next one, just think of this one as practice for the next. Good luck!! I like the cake though! My family minus me are really in to Star Wars, I will have to keep this cake in mind!
How horrid for that to happen after all that work, time & expense!! He really looked good too!! Yes, smart move to stack him there. Good luck and please post another pic for us!!

Thank you! Yes, I am sure he will be easier this time since now I know how to make him. And he will look better! That one was just a practice cake! I am trying to be positive about it! It is hard though! Uggh..I just hate that.
He looks really cute in the picture. I am sure my heart would have dropped along with the cake. Just remind everyone that R2D2 tipped over a lot in the movies!
