This cake is inspired by my daughter's favorite writer - Mo Willems. On the bottom tier, each side has a comic strip inspired by his books about either the Pigeon or Elephant and Piggie. The Elephant and Piggie figures are cut out of fondant and placed directly on the buttercream. The word bubbles are made of sugar sheets. The Pigeon figures are cut out of fondant and placed on a yellow fondant background. The bus is made out of modeling chocolate.
