I actually did this as a practice cake. I had seen these roses done on smaller cakes , here on CC, and wanted to try them on a larger scale to see if it worked as well. Im not happy with my version. I was going for a tall thin cake. I did 4 layers of 8 inch cake and 2 layers of 6 inch. I dont think you can see the difference in the cake sizes well enough, and I didnt come close to the look I was going for. I also wasnt consistent with the thickness of the roses.Ultimately, I dont think it looks symmetrical and kind of crooked. lol. Its ok though. Ill try again. In the mean time my family has a lot of cake to eat tonight!
