Construction Cake

A 3rd birthday construction cake for the son of a friend. I am rather proud of it considering I just wing it with limited ad-hoc skills.

Now for the much too detailed description: 2 layer yellow and chocolate cake marbled (to go with the yellow and black theme) with chocolate butter cream icing. The dirt is chocolate and 'nilla waffers crushed and mixed, candy rocks for borders, fondant for concrete (grey and white w/ pearl dust) and pirouette cookies for logs. The retaining wall is made from candy bricks glued together with royal icing and painted with grey powdered food coloring and vodka. The fence is pink bubble gum tape painted orange and pressed back to back with water and toothpicks as stakes. Cake board is covered in duct-tape then cellophane wrapping. That's about it, I hope you enjoy. All thoughts welcome.
