Cake I made for my sister-in-law's 30th birthday. The party was centered around Gerber Daisies. Bottom tier is vanilaa cake (super enhanced formula) middle tier is chocolate fudge, top tier is one layer of each. Covered in fondant.
Beautiful! Love the gerbera daisy. I have never attached ribbon around the base. How do you attach the ribbon to the fondant and how do you secure the ends of the ribbon in the back? Thanks!!
i first put clear packing tape on the back of the ribbon - just to protect it from any grease from the buttercream in case there were areas where the fondant wasn't perfect. It also helped keep it smooth. I attached it together in the back with a seam of royal icing.
