15Th Birthday Cake
All buttercream, pressed with impression matt and buttercream roses. I didn't think the colors would really work when she told me what she wanted, but it actually looks nice in pastels. Party is at 3PM.

Gorgeous! How do you use the impression mat on buttercream? Do you do it in segments?

Yes, I did a section, then overlapped one square section to line it up and continue to the next section. The bottom took almost 5 times re-lining up the matt to do the next section. The back isn't perfect, but i tried to get it as close as possible where the sections merged.

We did basic flavors on the cake. The base and top layers are chocolate cake with chocolate filling and the middle layer was french vanilla. All buttercream frosting on the outside. the kids all like chocolate, but I'm not a big fan, so I usually do one layer vanilla so I can have some cake too :)
