Pokemon Lucario Video Game Scene

Pokemon Lucario Video Game Scene on Cake Central

critique subgroup member: pokemon birthday cake with Lucario coming out of the pokeball- Lucario is fondant, pokeball is ball pan covered in bc with fondant accents, cartoon trees are rolos with bc icing and the rest is all bc. I had to try and make it look a little more like a video game than the real thing, used m&m's for a colorful border. :) TFL!

critique subgroup member: this is a cute cake! well done! i am in awe of your fondant work! i wonder if you could have put the m&ms 'm' side down? i love how you piped the little trees, but i didn't realize that's what they were until i read through your whole post. i think the rolos might be a little too big? maybe tootsie roll minis cut in half? what are the blue circles? are they water? i'm not sure the name made in stars works. it reminds me of a shrub maze.

critique subgroup member: I'm not familiar with Pokemon, but I can see your wonderful fondant figure. I assumed that the name "Zach" WAS a shrub maze and part of the landscape? I also assumed that the blue was a Lego kind of pond? I really like the "happy birthday" on the cake board. This is a cute cake.

yes, crazy4sugar, that's exactly what I was going for! :) I wanted it to be more in line with the game and how nothing really looks real, bur it's implied. Thanks everyone for your comments so far!

critique subgroup member: I am not very familiar with pokemon. But your fondant work as always is impeccable! Icing is nice and smooth. The only critique I would give, is that the cake board is a bit small, and should have more area around the edges. Another cake well done!

critique group member: terrific and very creative design (as usual!). I think your Lucario is perfect - colors, size, etc... Your use of the various mediums is great and you certainly acheived the look you wanted. Sorry, I really don't have any critiques on the cake. The only comment I have is the board - looks a tad thin for such a big cake and I can see some cardboard (?) on the lower left.

Critique subgroup member: Not familiar with this design at all.....so I will not comment on the theme nor it's contruction using candies....Your cake board is too small though and like all your other cakes you definately have a strong primary color pallet that I bet you never noticed before. ;-D

critique subgroup member: i love how you used the candies to keep it more cartoon like to fit the game. The rolo idea was something I would not have thought about. Very cute cake and I don't have anything extra to add from what the others already stated about the board
