I got another one this week that I'm fairly pleased with. For a friends daughters 20th birthday and a massive fan of the film :)

Jack was the hardest part. Had no white to paint on the black so had to do it the other way round, made him out of white fondant and then painted on the black stripes!

Think I need to invest in some sort of white food colouring in the future :D

5634a72e515e5.jpegI can see there will be a lot of halloween cakes to look at this time :) Really like yours,CoinUK. And yes...white food coloring is on my list too, lol.

This week I made only a 2D fish eagle topper (handpainted) and some Octonauts cupcakes yesterday (friday). Then I literally through candy apples and 2 cakes together for my kid's halloween party at school. Was running so late and had to get myself ready too. Never worked so fast in my life :D

Just working on an octonauts cake for Sunday. But now off to another party. Phew...

Looks like some pretty cool creations this week. This week we were the busiest we've been so far since we opened. I did several dozen sugar cookies for Halloween simple iced nothing fancy, we did a simple sheet cake, several dozen Halloween themed cupcakes and a little pumpkin theme baby shower and finally the cake I've been waiting to do for a month lol  a Halloween themed birthday cake. My sons birthday is Monday so I'm also working on his hot wheels themed party for tomorrow. I don't have pictures of the Halloween cake yet because it has to be assembled still. Also the pumpkin and candy corn cupcakes were a very last minute order so I had no real time to invest in complex decorations the flavors were red velvet and pumpkin. I will post pictures of the rest once they are done.

Hi everyone!

I was so happy when I received an order from a client wanting a Halloween cake! Never got the chance to do one so it was very exciting. I made a sugar skull themed cake:

And a Basketball themed birthday cake as well:

Hope everyone has a great Halloween!

I was allowed to"assist" my 10 yr old dd, with her small group of friends and their private party in the lunch room.  I meant to mention it to her teacher the day before when i ran into him but both he and I were running late...and it slipped my mind. So after school the next day I got to ask him about how their day went...and he said, "I  was surprised at lunch the girls pulled out their snacks and had a little feast" lol!  I wanted to put chocolate pumpkins or something...she didn't want them. She just wanted to hold my piping bag and star tip...and away she went happy as can be. I had saved cake crumbs, which she was fine with.

Wow, shout out to all the great cakes this week!  I never get asked to do Halloween cakes :(  If I did I would want to do brains like @julia1812  - yuck!  But you have my deepest repect for your Eagle and fish, how in the world???  @SweetShop5  you never disappoint with the awesomeness.  Happy to hear business is booming @Webake2gether can't wait to see your son's cake!  @CoinUK  Jack looks spectacular and I can't imagine doing white on black would have been any easier.  How nice of your son @cookiemum123  cupcakes look yummy!

This week I had orders for chewy lemon cookies, orange cranberry chews and baked pumpkin donut holes - all yummy but nothing post worthy.  I just wanted to mention a friend came over for dinner this week and brought 3 pies. We're only a family of 4 with my eldest at college!  We had this big discussion about how it's hard to find good pies in our area.  I wish I lived near @Webake2gether I would have sent her to you!
