Hello.  Wondering if anyone knows if you can substitute water for the milk in indydebi's Crisco icing recipe?  Thinking about it sitting outside in 90+ degree weather and to avoid dairy issues for guests.   Thanks in advance.

You might be better off sending a message to Indydebi so that she can answer your question.

Her icing recipe holds up in very hot weather!! Give it a try with milk!! You will be pleasantly surprised!!  You should not have to worry about the weather issues!! Her icing holds up good!!

Very good icing!! Good luck!!

Thank you SquirrellyCakes and remnant3333 for responding!  I actually did end up sending her an email and she said she has never used water in place of milk and has always been fine.  I have made 2 batches of this icing TODAY...very nice and crusts!  Tomorrow is the big day...at a park...no airconditioning or refrigerater---(hence my worries)---but so far so good!!   Thanks for the help :)
