Hi everyone, I have been making the Wilton MMF for a while & sometimes it works perfectly & other times like today it was terrible! I didn't use all the powdered sugar because it was so stiff & not staying together & I looked over the recipe again & it says it takes about 10 minutes & it takes me WAY longer than that! Maybe I'm working it too much? I never add 3/4 of powdered sugar in the bowl like it says because it just doesn't mix well so I usually add a little until it starts to not stick to itself & sticks to the bowl then I take it out & kneed it on the counter slowly adding the powdered sugar...

Does anyone use this recipe? Has anyone tried making it in the mixer with a dough hook?

Any suggestions / help is greatly appreciated! TIA

This is the one I have used (If you are using the new Wilton formula, use 2 tbsp of water instead of 3):

Wilton recently changed the fondant so maybe that is affecting your recipe?
