I have an Oct 26th wedding cake that I have to make a bunch of fall leaves for.

I have done a fall cake with gumpaste leaves and they came out beautifully.  I was planning on doing that again HOWEVER...I saw the techniques using wafer paper dipped in colored water and then airbrushed once dry from Lisa Berczel on YouTube - Cake Fu Masters series.

Needless to say, her technique is amazing!

Just wondering if anyone has experience with both techniques and which would be easier?

I know the gum paste would be less time consuming since I think I only have one leaf viener like what she uses, but I am sure I can find some thru local cakers that may allow me to borrow theirs.

TIA

I have not seen, therefore not tried the technique you mention but have made wafer paper leaves and love, love, love them.  To me they are much, much easier than gp :)
