Hi everyone,
Is there a tutorial on how to make a pillow shape cake? Or does anyone knows how to make it?
Thanks
It is much easier to just buy the pan set than it is to carve it into the shape. You can buy the whole set on amazon for $38 plus free shipping...

Here's one http://sugarteachers.blogspot.com.es/2009/03/how-to-make-pillow-cushion-cake-by-toni.html but if you search on Google there are more. Good luck!
oh thanks I did not know that they were pillow shape pans, that would be very helpful!!!
I would never use the pillow pans or the topsy tury pans....The cakes bake uneven. It's much easier to bake a square cake and carve. There is a wonderful tutorial here on CC...look for it.
It's right here. I've been meaning to try it. Before I saw this, I thought I'd never be able to make one!
I own both the pillow pan set & the topsy turvy pan set & I have never had any problems at all with baking cakes using those pans. All of my cakes come out like they are supposed to. If you know how to properly bake the cakes using the pan sets then it is 10 times easier & less messy than carving it, but if you are just more comfortable with carving then you should do it that way.
